Featuring songs about cats, trees and why we need them, pants that don't fit, and that wonderful feeling the first time it snows, with awesome horn arrangements by Tom Richards and Suzy Wilde, fab backing vocals and slide whistle from Lori Nancy Kalamanski and an incredible rhythm section with Dani Nash on drums and percussion and Jon Maharaj on bass, I am just so happy with how this record has turned out. Everybody who worked on it with me is SOOO talented. To find out more about them all, visit our instagram page @singalongtim. We've also got three new videos to share with you.
I know my son Charlie is still holding on to the sleep over party he was supposed to have with his best friend that never happened because of the pandemic. Here we are a year later. So we thought we'd try and help out with a sleep over party concert. We're going to make snacks (ants on a log & rice crispy squares ) we've got some fun games lined up, a craft, and lots of songs. We'll keep going as long as we can, after all that is what a sleep over party is all about isn't it?

We hope you can join us.

If you want to make snacks with us, please get hold of some celery and dried fruit and you can use cream cheese or peanut butter. I'm sure you know what you need to make rice crispy squares.

In other news, Lori Nancy has written a wonderful article that you can read here

We wanted to thank you for your support over the past year. We know it's been tough for everybody, and it means a great to deal to us that you chose to spend some of your time with us, watching our shows during the first months of the lockdown, and listening, watching and actually helping us write some of the songs we made this year.

We very much hope that we'll have the chance to meet in person at a live show in 2021.

In the mean time, Happy New Year.

We had a really lovely time. Thanks to everybody who tuned in. We got to read the story "Night Walk" by Sara O'Leary and Ellie Arscott. We played our holiday single and some other favourite tunes. Lori Nancy made a wonderful craft. We released a new single and a video to go with it. To top it all off, we are opening for Santa next week in a virtual show for Scadding Court EarlyON. So if you've got a list, send it to us and we can have a word with Santa on your behalf.

Earlier this week, I received an email telling me the song is a finalist. Very exciting. I think the winners for each category will be announced at the beginning of April. Or maybe it's June. We'll keep you posted. The songs are being listened to by a panel of judges that includes Tom Waits, Nancy Wilson and Ziggy Marley. There is also a People's Voice Award. "The People" can vote every day for their favourite song. There are 15 other finalists in the kids music category. I haven't listened to the other songs yet.

I know I've been asking you to vote a lot lately, but if you could find the time to vote for us on this one too, that would be amazing. Again, you can vote every day.

From a puppet that came to life.
Sing Along Tim & The Pacifierstag:singalongtim.ca,2005:Post/49616842017-12-04T14:02:00-05:002022-04-21T03:14:01-04:00Applegrove, Highfield Inc & Crow's Theatre
A couple of weeks ago I played (without the Pacifiers) at Applegrove Community Complex's Fall Fundraiser- Pastafest. Applegrove is a fantastic organization. They have something for everybody. A program for pregnant mothers, a drop in for parents and carers of pre-schoolage children. After school, spring and summer camps for school aged kids and a seniors program. I'm sure I've missed lots of the other things they do. I used to take my kids there, it is where I first started playing music specifically for kids. It is also where I first met Junkyard Rich, Pacifier. Aside from a fabulous pasta dinner and a blistering set from Sing Along Tim, they also had a silent auction. I bid on a few items including having some t-shirts printed by a local company Highfieldinc . Rob Bangrove did a great job printing up one of my favourite images created by Ellie Arscott for our album "Bunchy Sleeves & Bendy Knees".We've still got most kids sizes available, so if you'd like one. I think they look amazing and you can probably have them in time for Christmas.

I asked Rob how quickly he could do the shirts because I wanted to give some away and sell some at our concert this past weekend. We played at our local theatre as part of their Sunday family concert series. I'm talking about Crow's Theatre. We had a fantastic time. Look who showed up-

It seems like everybody had a great time. I know I did. I'd also like to thank Amelie Lefebvre who joined us on vocals and was super She has her own fantastic band, Amelie & Les Singes Bleus. Definitely worth checking out. Thanks also, to Quin Arima-Shaw playing stand-up bass. He did a great. job. Thank you David for our great sound. Everybody could hear everything. Thanks Margaret at Crow's for giving us the opportunity to perform in our local neighbourhood and thanks to everyone who came out to hear us play. Happy Holidays! These fresh, original songs take a kid’s eye view of the world and cover a wide range of important subjects including tree climbing, the rules of tag, stickiness, injuries incurred during play, scooters, David Suzuki, and a whole bunch of critters including cats, bees, wasps, frogs, mosquitos, owls and butterflies. For this album, the great arrangements and vocal harmonies of the three core members, (Sing Along Tim, Lori Nancy Kalamanski and Junkyard Rich) were augmented by terrific contributions from Jason Kenemy, who played drums and anything with keys, and engineer/multi-instrumentalist Aaron Comeau who played anything with strings including stand-up bass. Together they have created a spontaneous, playful, textured, big happy sound that’ll get inside your ears and wiggle around for a long time. This record was grown, played and recorded locally in Toronto’s East End. Our hope is that it will be listened to and enjoyed everywhere. The beautiful artwork, which effortlessly captures the essence of each song was created by Ellie Arscott

We'll be bringing our fully interactive folk rock for Families to this year's conference in Petrolia. I won a raffle at last years' conference so I have nice accommodation. If you have any idea where the rest of the Pacifiers could stay. Please let me know! She's created a piece to go with each song. Here's a sneak peak at one of her illustrations. This is for our song "Brand New, Shiny, Red, Foot-powered Scooter". We used to listen to it while we ate our dinner. (Hamburgers on Tuesdays and Fridays, with Chocolate milk on Fridays. My brother got two burgers on two buns, I got two burgers on only one bun because I was not as athletic as him- I wasn't athletic full stop) "As It Happens" has always been there and I'm sure most of us know the theme music. A couple of weeks ago I wasn't eating hamburgers and I wasn't listening to the radio, but some friends were, and they texted to say they had just heard Sing Along Tim and The Pacifiers singing Booger Song on "As It Happens". Jeff Douglas was talking about a new scientific report that states that picking your nose and eating it is good for you. We say the same thing in our song and they'd found it and played it as an introduction to the story. Unfortunately, due to copyright restrictions (probably due to cuts to public broadcasting by the conservative gov't) we aren't on the podcast. But, thanks CBC for providing quality shows like "As It Happens" and for playing quality music like "The Booger Song"
1:54Sing Along Tim & The Pacifiers
