A couple of weeks ago I played (without the Pacifiers) at Applegrove Community Complex's Fall Fundraiser- Pastafest. Applegrove is a fantastic organization. They have something for everybody. A program for pregnant mothers, a drop in for parents and carers of pre-schoolage children. After school, spring and summer camps for school aged kids and a seniors program. I'm sure I've missed lots of the other things they do. I used to take my kids there, it is where I first started playing music specifically for kids. It is also where I first met Junkyard Rich, Pacifier. Aside from a fabulous pasta dinner and a blistering set from Sing Along Tim, they also had a silent auction. I bid on a few items including having some t-shirts printed by a local company Highfieldinc . Rob Bangrove did a great job printing up one of my favourite images created by Ellie Arscott for our album "Bunchy Sleeves & Bendy Knees".We've still got most kids sizes available, so if you'd like one. I think they look amazing and you can probably have them in time for Christmas.
I asked Rob how quickly he could do the shirts because I wanted to give some away and sell some at our concert this past weekend. We played at our local theatre as part of their Sunday family concert series. I'm talking about Crow's Theatre. We had a fantastic time. Look who showed up-
Lots of people! It seems like everybody had a great time. I know I did. I'd also like to thank Amelie Lefebvre who joined us on vocals and was super She has her own fantastic band, Amelie & Les Singes Bleus. Definitely worth checking out. Thanks also, to Quin Arima-Shaw playing stand-up bass. He did a great. job. Thank you David for our great sound. Everybody could hear everything. Thanks Margaret at Crow's for giving us the opportunity to perform in our local neighbourhood and thanks to everyone who came out to hear us play. Happy Holidays! Next show at Silly Goose Kids, Jan 21st.
